Nut-Free Snacks for School and Travel

N

PLOT TWIST: these are great for non-allergy butterfly mouths as well.

Most schools are now #peanutfree and #nutfree as 1 in 13 kids has a food allergy 💀 which leads to adults with food allergies, which means it’s quite kind when adult places (offices, ✈️) are also #allergyaware.

Before I became an allergy mom, I was always mindful of food allergy sufferers on planes and tried not to spread peanut dust everywhere from my own snacks, but now I’m extra vigilant and sympathetic and try to pack #allergyfriendly snacks like these below when we go to public places (museum, zoo) to not leave any #sesameallergy or #nutallergy debris or residue on surfaces that could harm another child.

I still consume nuts, seeds, nut & seed butters, eggs, and allllll the #top8allergenfree culprits daily myself, but I would urge everyone to just be kind and mindful of those who can’t. Wash your hands  vigorously with soap and water (alcohol does NOT remove allergens ‼️) and wipe down all surfaces (disinfectant spray, NOT alcohol) after eating. I mean, this is just good hygiene, anyways, ya filthy animals.
