The Morality of Tacos

T

2008 Monica: hounds down 13 baskets of free chips and salsa before food arrives (lookin’ at you, Las Margaritas Gainesville 🐊) + 2 margaritas. Tipsy eats whatever is in front of me like a feral Labrador.

2022 Monica: *mindfully* enjoys some chips and 🥑 guac, goes halfsies on a few orders of tacos with fish, beef (don’t sleep on the birria consommé), chicken, cauliflower, mushrooms, and lots of spices & herbs & hot sauces. A few bites of extremely melted cheese. And a mezcal / club soda / muddled jalapeño blackberry emulsion. (And they did it for me without the mez when I was 🤰)

Are you going into meals dining out mindLESS or mindFUL? 👀👀👀

It’s not that tacos or “good” or “bad.” There is no morality within food. It’s your intention, framework, and inner dialogue surrounding tacos that matters.
